  • Portland Church Goes Multi-Site, Rejects Video Venues

"This pastor is right on. Video venues cheapen the whole thing. If all you are doing is watching it on TV or a screen, then is that really church?"
If the person teaching is live, but is not an effective communicator, is that church?
I think the concept of having live teaching pastors at every church is great, but not always realistic. I live in a rural community with a huge lack of effective Gospel communicators who can preach a passionate, relavent message every week.
I think both options are good. It's just what one is more effective.

  • Many Evangelical Denominations Have No Megachurches, Survey Finds

If people are coming to know Christ, the Gospel is being preached in truth and love, believers are being baptized and spriritual growth is being encouraged and prayerfully directed; what does it matter what the size of the church is? God be glorified and Jesus be made famous to the nations. Who cares? Mega, mini, medium...
BTW...my local church is only 70 people, So dont fire off some comment to me about belonging to a mega.

Congrats to Dr. Dobson. FOF has been an encouraging and positive ministry for my family. This is well deserved.

Sounds to me like some of these other comments here are people with "church size envy".
