tingy, the gay posse here will either continually re-interpret scripture, warping it or denying it to fit their ungodly lusts, or else they will outright reject the Word of God. You are dealing with depraved minds. If they can't respond to your reason, then they will deceptively turn the tables and accuse you of being a bigot and attack your character.
IndianJeff, CP covers a broad spectrum of stories with religious overtones. I don't see simply reporting this story as being equated to approving of LDS theology. However, I think most Christians would approve of the school, and the player, standing firm on principles of an honor code and sexual purity in an age of relative morality and situation ethics.

gd, gays make a career out of victim mentality. So do others. "Society makes them unhappy people, man!" Right. Instead of taking responsibility, blame it on somebody else. The gospel is all about the possibility of change. But it does involve repentance of sin and working on overcoming bondages. I'm ostracized and stigmatized for being a Christian. Everyone in life faces ostracism at some level. But I don't have control over others - they will do whatever they do or say. However, I am responsible for my reactions. If I don't take responsibility for myself, I will go into blame mode resulting in an endless pit of disempowerment and self-pity.
I have compassion for anyone trapped in a bondage - only Christ can break it. However, it is not compassionate trying to "normalize" sin. It is not compassionate saying to a person laying on the sidewalk with a broken leg that their broken leg is "normal" or just accept it - you were born that way.less

However, somebody could be well off, no major issues in their lives, reasonably happy but that does not qualify them for eternal happiness, only saving faith in Christ and a changed heart does.
As far as gay pride parades: debauchery on display. There are even gays who don't approve of gay pride parades.less

gd, do you have heterosexual feelings that you're suppressing? Fear of admitting how God created you to be heterosexual because of the backlash of your gay friends? Just like an alcoholic leaving his old drinking buddies, you can walk away, overcoming your denial and bondage with some help and become a healthy heterosexual as God intended.less

Regarding the legislation, we're not bitter or surprised in the least: it's simply another demonstration of what God warned about, "“Don’t be naive. There are difficult times ahead. As the end approaches, people are going to be self-absorbed, money-hungry, self-promoting, stuck-up, profane, contemptuous of parents, crude, coarse, dog-eat-dog, unbending, slanderers, impulsively wild, savage, cynical, treacherous, ruthless, bloated windbags, addicted to lust, and allergic to God.” (2 Timothy 3:1–4 MESSAGE)
We warn people about the folly of sinful choices: some listen, many don't. I really wish you weren't fulfilling part of that end-time prophecy, but that is your choice.less
sbellam, if you would have stopped after your first sentence, it would have been an acceptable expression of condolence. Taking advantage of a tragic situation and people's grief to turn it into a political/theological issue is showing disrespect to the deceased and survivors and demonstrates gross insensitivity and callousness on your part.
