distribution of condoms and birth control pills and putting an end to the african males notion that raping women is acceptable might help keep those babies form being born just to suffer and die. of course you would never get a catholic to agree to saving a babies life by preventing it's conception.

i don't think we have to worry about the approval of a mythological diety...... what we have to do is seek the approval of religious leaders so that they encourage, not discourage, intellegent dialogue....unfortunately too many clerics are too closely tied to church dogma and can not think beyond their religious conditioning.

I would be interesting in knowing what programs are on the Christian TV Sat-7. are there sports or entertainment shows on it? docmentaries....news programs? Is the "religious" programing done in a kind and gentle voice so as not to frighten Muslim viewers?

some one on the scroll mentioned the "word of god"...always a sign that they are on shakey ground since no one has ever heard a word form the big man in the sky...all is hearsay....not a direct quote in the book...bible that is...I say that god said...or he said that god said or they said that god said...everything we think we know about what god said was said by some human guy just like us who was trying to make us all better folks. so never and i mean never ever use the word of god as the final authority....on anything. it may be good stuff but it is not from god.

wow lots of comments...i would just add that if we as christians like it or not as young people become better educated and better able to think for themselves they will be less willing to believe in religious dogma. Religion has gradually lost its hold on people over the centuries as people have become more sophisticated. This tread will continue and will eventually mean the end of organized religion as we know it.

  • Evangelical Group ‘Shocked’ Over Legalisation of Homosexuality‎

excuse me but homosexuality is such a tiny issue facing the Christian world today that to even mention it detracts from the really important aspects of our fight to save this lovely planet from ruin. it is past time for us to stop beating the dead horse of human sexuality and get to the real issues...poverty, disease, lack of clean water, polution, lack of education and the explotation of women and children. why THE CHURCH finds this an important "issue" is beyond me...an easy target i guess.

  • New UK Atheist Godless Summer Camp Launched, Concern Raises

I think if we object to any groups right to provide summer camp unless they are christian we are guilty of
trying to deny everyone an equal opportunity to find meaning in their own lives. We who value the teachings of Jesus have nothing to fear from those who may not believe in gods.
