    I have a masters degree in geology, and so have some scientific knowledge in this area. However, I would like to discuss the spiritual aspects of this "controversy" I do not understand how any believing Christian can accept that God would allow mankind to destroy his creation. He has a plan, and we do not have the power to destroy his plan. He said "go forth and multiply" not go forth and worship the trees.
