About 5 years ago a group of men introduced me to freewill and predestination. 3 men on each side held the different view (6) total and I was the 7th. They went back and forth and they then asked me what I thought. "I told them I don't know?" "I have to study and look more into this." And I did. No, it is not a false teaching, but a true to the text and narrative of all the scripture. Men, nor pastor, nor my own flesh decided for me whether or not if Predestination was true. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures. John was called θεολόγος theologos. It does take teachers and theologians to help people understand God's word, gifts of the Holy Spirit, for building up the church. Teaching in truth and love. Not all men have the same gifts. Let's not insult teachers or theologians.

Erasmus, Jacobus Arminius, Roman Catholicism, Semipelagianism. All free will supporters. Check out church history on these. These men did more harm to the church than good.
