What fellowship does light have with darkness?
Entertainers who claim Jesus as savior and Lord still must keep separate from the world. perhaps they thought the publicity would be ok, but Vanity Fair has a reputation for plastering seductive pictures on the cover, also Ms. Lebowitz, a declared lesbian, has contributed to much of this reutation. How could these parents entrust their child's image to people who have this type of reputation? The money may be tempting, but in the end, I'm sure it's not worth the harm it has done to her reputation.
You raise an ineresting point. God can use allegory to reveal a shadow of the truth. He did so even with His chosen people, Israel. Because their understanding was darkened by sin, he had to speak to them in types, shadows, figures, dreams. However, in these latter times He has chosen to speak to us through His Son, Jesus, who has rent the veil that existed between man and God, and now wants us to invite Him to dwell within our hearts. He has clearly instructed us who believe on how to do this...by preaching the gospel to all.
