    schumacr-

the reason churches rarely preach on Matthew 23 is because it is directed to a specific group of people at a specific time in history. The Pharisees and Sadduess were rabbis of a particuar set who were reigious professionals who did not show grace to their hearers.

That was why they were sad, you see?

Christ was not talking to the general Christian population of today. God knows none of us will live perfect lives. He expects us to live excellent lives. God's grace is available daily to those who seek HIm (1 John 1:5-10). Ths grace is available beause God knows we cannot do the faith walk by ourseles (John 15:1-4).

We are accountable to God, who wants His shepherds to gently restore those in sin, not denounce them as hypocrites. Mans wrath regarding politics or investments or movies does not bring about the righteousness God requires.

yes I am comfortable in judging him. Apparently you also enjoy condemning fellow believers. I have heard enough in this article to know what kind of man he is. If Christ were here He would rebuke Americane Idleman to his face.

Christ never bullied anyone. By the way, those scripture used in the sermon deal with profesisonal religious people. American idleman apparently is so ful of hate he can't take time to read hihs Bible. Neither, apparently, do you. be careful: with the same measure you judge others so you too will be judged.

Legal in man's eyes does not mean right in God;s eyes. Man has made himself judge over what God alone has authority

Kyle Idleman and Paul Washer are what my former pastor would call spiritual bullies. I have one word of advice to those who sit under these hypocrites' ministries: run!

Christ's burden is easy and HIs yoke is light. Pastors are called to gently restore those who have sin in their lives. Confesion of sin is a daily part of every believer's life. So is God's mercy!

Wrong again! First, why would you hang out with gay priests?

Secondly, no evidence exists that Christ abused Himself or had sex with Mary Magdalene. The Nicene Council dealt with Christ's divinity, not His relations (sexual or otherwise) with people. The Nicean creed was based on existing documents and none were omitted.

Christ said that even looking at a woman with lust equated to sleeping with her . So, if Christ sinned-and masturbation and fornication are sins-then God would not have accepted His atonement on the cross.

Finally, stop casting aspersions on Christ's character. You admit yourself that you have no proof for what you say. This is a Christian website. Respect what the beliefs of those who follow Christ.

    Norman-

I respectfully disagree. If God's word says abortion is murder, then it is murder even if the majority says otherwise. Only slighlty les than half of Americans are pro-choice anyway.

You are for abortion if you don't oppose murdering babies. When a woman is pregnant, her body is not hers alone anymore. It also belongs to her unborn baby. She will answer to God someday for aborting her baby, unles she repents.

Men have everything to say about abortion. It is their children, after all, that are depending on the mother for support. I oppose abortion, but I believe that men should at least be informed before a woman chooses what to do with their babies. It isonly fair.

You're wrong. When a woman is pregnant her body is no longer hers alone. It also belongs to the baby that lives inside of her.

Mexican women should be smart enough not to abort their babies if they are worried about dying.

There is no question that homos and lesbians and others are human beings. Christ loves them. He made them, and shed His blood for them. He wants them all to come to repentance-see John 3:16.

Problems arise when homos start imposing their will on the sacred institution of marriage and complain when they are denied positions of leadership in the church.

Until they repent of their sins, they have no place in leadership. Marriage is, in God's eyes, between a man and a woman.

Paul was not God, but he earned the right to speak for God because of what he suffered and because Christ ordained him to speak.

Paul completely submitted his life to Christ, and so Paul's words are an accurate reflection of God's will rearding the homosexual lifestyle.

Christ came to fulfill the law. Surface forms of worship like avoiding certain foods and wearing certain kinds of clothes were fulfilled by believers receivng the Holy Spirit. The condemnation of homosexual behavior (but not homosexuals)remains.

Remember, we have constitutional rights to free speech.

Tebow and other athletes have every right to praise God.

Cook has a right to criticize them, but has no right to stifle their message, either.

Tebow wears Phil. 4:13 under his eyes; Cook should wear Phil. 3:18-19.
