Gosh, what are we thinking? I say we go for the gusto and vote in a Charles Manson Day. We're just not reading him right; I mean good ol' Charlie shared his John Deere tractor set with the neighbor kids back when he was 12 and took out the garbage for his mom in his 20's, so why not give this murderer a place of honor. He's right up there with good ol' Harvey having sex with under aged kids... I mean, common on people, pull your head out.

Just received an email and information for the Referendum 71 in Washington State. All those in Washington need to REJECT Referendum 71 because it essentially allows gays the same benefits and rights as married couples and at a horrendous expense to tax payers. They call it the everything but marriage Referendum in Washington State. I reject gay marriage on the same level I'd reject pedophilic marriages and incestous marriages, so this insanity has got to stop.

So your logic is that mocking is only reserved for great prophets of the Bible? Um, should I mimic Elijah or take the advise of a "pastor nick" ... um... tough one, but I'll think I'll take my chances and go with Elijah. I know it's risky.
Your fluff interpretation of scripture is doing no good for the Kingdom. The "lost" are looking for strong leaders and not a "feel good" pat on the back people like you. You're a fake because your ego and pride of using a title that insinuates something you're not is greater than your desire to listen to scripture.

I think we need a day to honor...uh, ... Ted Bundy. Aside from his minor sinful actions, he was a tremendous lawyer and did terrific things in the community? What da ya say?

Oh, of course I shouldn't have forgotten my most favorite passage of scripture in regard to your topic of "mocking" people. Read Elijah's account on Mt. Carmel. It'll really rock your socks what Elijah said to the "prophets" and God's reaction was as a result of what Elijah said. I'm sure if you were there you would have given ol' Elijah a good scolding - eh?

You having possession of a theology degree is just ... well, must be.... uh, mail order or something. Either way, simply wrong. Probably on the line of ... uh, say... Obama on-line birth certificate. We see it, he wants to pass it off as good to go, but those that truly know better aren't buying it.

Do you think Jesus calling people fools was very Christ like? How about this one: Jesus actually called a whole lot of people perverts. Wow! And I don't even have a theological degree...

Look up pric in the dictionary ... unless you have trouble finding it:) There is more than one meaning to the term, although I could understand why you'd pick the meaning the culture seems to be dictating to you:) You libs are way to fun to play with.

You still neglect to act as Christ in calling sin for what it is. Christ called people names all throughout scripture. You are only seeing one side of scripture; neglecting the other aspects. We are to live the Word of Christ and by spoon feeding the wolves fluff, they don't respect that. They often times need the rebuke - some authority. I don't see Jesus limp wristed and lisping out to the heathens that they were being naughty and shouldn't be bad. Actually, Jesus lost his temper and his patience on many occasions - frustrated too. You go ahead and be the limp wristed fluffy type and I'll go with acting like Christ. Oh, and to add a bit of pompous to it - I'll pray for you, "pastor":)

I'm certainly aware that I do cross that line on occasion - in fact I have a bit too much fun in some cases which I have to admit is not always right. However, my brother and sisters in Christ have had some tolerance of my posts. On the other hand, you are not a pastor and your position as a "counselor" may taint what scripture calls us to do. Point folks to their sin and the message of the Gospel. Playing "police" on this forum is comical, but if you feel led to do it...hey, go for it. I'd get rid of the Pastor bit though...misleading to new arrivals and you don't sound all that pastory in my opinion.
On our own we are little more than bits of stone and glass. Together we are the Body of Christ. Holy Bible: Mosaic is an invitation to experience Christ in His Word and in the responses of his people. Each week, as you reflect on guided Scripture readings aligned with the church seasons, you will receive a wealth of insight from historical and contemporary writings.
