Well, if one can call Obama pro-life without laughing then the truth is a lie and a lie is the truth. His has to be one of the MOST corrupt campaigns in history. He's learned from the Chicago machine though, probably the most corrupt political city in America.

"Osteen Arms Thousands with Hope, Not Doctrine" Pretty sad, but common. This kind of emotional preaching started back in the mid 1700's and helped lead to the Mormon and Jehovah Witness cults in the 1800's. Lots of quick conversions and feel-good preaching, but without discipleship. The American church is in sad shape today. Let's change it.

Interesting story. I would take issue with a comment attributed to Wolfe though, that "Evangelicals in the academy too often aren't open to truly engaging those who disagree." Not sure where he's been. Most of the time, real discussion is impeded by inflammatory name calling. I work in a university setting and the ideology is a monolith. If one doesn't go along with the party line bad things will happen from personal attacks to denial of tenure. We must work harder though, strive for excellence, and represent Christ in truth and love no matter where we work.

What a great story. Lord be with Brian and let many people come to Christ through reading his book.
