"Living the homosexual lifestyle and saying you are a Christian is delusion at best."
Yawn - you're starting to get boring.

rolln4him,
No I am not gay, BUT I have 8 siblings - 2 of which are. They are wonderful people and i support them. The hate (yes hate) that you spew out to people like them makes me feel sick (for lack of a better word). You refuse to understand the world from their point of view. Take a leaf out of believers book, he doesnt agree with gays, which is fine, but atleast he tries to view the situation from their perspective, is civil about his perspective, and doesnt spew out horrible lies and hate towards gays.

weekenderman - i bet you think you are clever, but did know that you can look up a person's posting history on this site. so it is possible for a person who has only been on the site for 5 minutes to review comments made by a person for the last 2 years.
Try again buddy.

Flagged as inappropriate. show Those conservative Christians are a funny lot, what with their condemnations and pious view of the world - their solution to someone or something they don't like - destroy it, or as with the gays, take their rights from them. Thank goodness for the liberal Christians who teach acceptance, love, charity, forgiveness etc. Look forward to the continued decline of the conservatives. hide
Flagged as inappropriate. show weekenderman. are you serious? or are you as i suspect a 14 year old child (or similar) that hasn't learned to think for himself. Save your posts and reread them in a couple of years time - you'll learn a lot about yourself (I hope) hide

rolln4him,
And what exactly is wrong with an education in Indonesia? Or with Obama's policy on Israel? You missed the main theme of what he was saying - you know, moving forward peacefully, stopping extremist violence, building on shared values. What do you think Jesus would have said up there? Bomb Palestine, only American education is valuable, destroy Islam. I really don't think so, we are all Gods children, peaceful resolutions are what we need - Iraq is clear proof that war is a failed tool. But you have proved time and time again that you believe in a wrathful, angry God (i.e. you believe in a God that mimicks yourself), not a loving caring Father.

I wasnt able to watch the President's speech, but did read the entire script. I totally agree that the US and the Muslim world need to leave the past in the past and build relationships on mutual respect and common interests. The story of the good samaritan comes to mind - Muslims are our neighbours, and we need to treat them as such.
mrcherry. LOL. Thats exactly how most people treat Christians here in Australia.
PS Did you ever think that some straight people are friends with gay people simply because they love all of God's children equally, without prejudice.
DelightintheLord.
Whatever.
Wow, Obama really is inclusive and non-judgemental. A true Christian.

Believer, are you kidding? God commands His children to form loving relationships - to be one flesh etc. Gay people can't do that with people of the opposite sex - they can only abey that commandment with someone of the same sex. Let them marry, let them form meaningful relationships, let them enjoy companionship, let them love. God does.

Sorry mate, but you can only speak for yourself. I'm a believer, and agree with MickeyC's and God's views of homosexuals. Why is it that you spend so much time spewing lies in these posts? Why do you hate homosexuals so much? Are you able to say one nice thing about gays or has the Spirit left you so much that there is no love left in you any more?

"But religious communities, which are responsible for upholding core values, have succumbed to the competitive spirit and have focused on money, people and talent rather than values such as service, obedience, humility, compassion and community, the researcher claims."
What an encouraging article. Perhaps this recession is an opportunity for us all to reflect on what is really important in life.

My religion isn't the one I was riased in, so I'm one of those that has changed affiliations. I feel much happier, at peace and more spiritual now. As far as I'm concerned, religion should help and promote goodness in peoples life, whatever their circumstances. I did not get that from my childhood religion.

You claim a high correlation between gay men and peadophiles. Are you able to produce any credible evidence that supports this statement? Didn't think so. It's simply not true.
But since we are allowed to make outrageous and unsuportable claims like yours, I might make one of my own. Here goes... People who spend hours upon hours writing anti-gay posts on ChristianPost tend to be same sex attracted themselves.
Might help explain why you have been reading gay magazines from the 90s.

Perhaps the separation of State and religion isn't such a bad idea after all. Might want to tell that to the folks who supported Proposition 8.

"I didn't win the crown!!! how is that possible?... it must be those filthy gays fault and their filthy agenda... yeah, boy i hate them... surely me not winning had nothing to do with the fact that real winner deserved it... no, must have been the gays again"

Phew. We had almost gone an entire day without an anti-gay article. I was starting to get worried there for a minute.
On our own we are little more than bits of stone and glass. Together we are the Body of Christ. Holy Bible: Mosaic is an invitation to experience Christ in His Word and in the responses of his people. Each week, as you reflect on guided Scripture readings aligned with the church seasons, you will receive a wealth of insight from historical and contemporary writings.
