Rhi, contraceptives are more readily available now than they have been in the last couple of years, but birth control has nothing to do with women that are already pregnant. Now, if this article was about the decline in American live births, then you might have a point. A drop in abortions has less to do with birth control and more with women choosing other options for their babies.
Miley Cyrus is not Jesus. I know that might be a big blow for some, but neither is Demi Lovato. Miley is 17 going on 14 who thinks she's 25. Severely misguided with parents as friends and no real friends her age. Demi is depressed, and like most depressed people, she liked to keep it to herself. When kids ask about the way Miley dresses or her drinking beer or whatever, parents need to say "Miley ...more

Severely misguided with parents as friends and no real friends her age. Demi is depressed, and like most depressed people, she liked to keep it to herself. When kids ask about the way Miley dresses or her drinking beer or whatever, parents need to say "Miley is not Jesus, and just pray for her." Parents need to stop buying into these disney and nick kids and start pushing their kids towards a sense of individuality. Teach your kids that they're not defined by their hair, clothes, and skin color, and that no one's opinion but God's matters.
Funny, this article mentions Miley and Demi, and Justin somewhat, but says nothing about Selena Gomez.less
If the highest result of education is tolerance, then why is it culturally acceptable for so-called tolerant people to be discriminatory and hateful towards Evangelical Christians and conservatives? The tolerance door swings both ways, if one can't accept that I believe homosexuality to be sin, then they're not as tolerant or open-minded as they claim to be. The tolerance door swings both ways, if one can't accept that I believe homosexuality to be sin, then they're not as tolerant or open-minded as they claim to be. To be open-minded is to be "Receptive to new and different ideas or the opinions of others," which most so-called liberals aren't. To be tolerant is to just not care. If I love Jesus, then I can't not care. Sorry.
I have seen more intolerance and hate from "tolerant" people than anyone else, especially in the last couple of months. The easy way to handle Christians who openly admit that homosexuality is sin is to call them hateful, ignorant, homophobic, bullys, and the cause of gay suicide instead of engaging in dialogue.less
I was bullied in middle school because I was black and articulate and I also enjoyed rock, pop, and country. Believe it or not, 99% of the bullying came from other black kids. I'm 23 years old and I still have a hard time relating to other black people; it's a trauma that I'm still getting over. The truth is that it does get better. I'm 23 years old and I still have a hard time relating to other black people; it's a trauma that I'm still getting over. The truth is that it does get better. Kids mature, the teasing stops, you go to college and no one cares. However...I can't jive with this. As anti-bully as I am, I have a hard time getting on board with the current anti-bullying campaigns. Part of it has to do with the singling out of homosexual kids, like every other bullied kid isn't important, and then there's the whole intolerance of the campaign. I can't say "i don't agree with homosexuality" without someone calling me hateful, ignorant or intolerant, and I can't support a campaign that fights fire with fire. NOH8, Love is Louder, It Gets Better, and other missions like that villify anyone that doesn't agree with homosexuality instead of practicing what they preach, which is acceptance.
I am all for encouraging gay and every other youth to believe that it does get better because middle school sucks no kid deseveres to go through that, but there's no way for me say "It Gets Better" without saying, "However, homosexuality is sin and I pray that you accept Jesus". The ideas of love and acceptance have been blended, and these campaigns won't accept the truth that they are completely separate.less
