  • Exodus Offers 'A New Day' for Hundreds Impacted by Homosexuality

    Hi All,
"Love thy God with ALL thy heart and ALL thy mind and ALL thy soul."
At the risk of everyone thinking that I have an agenda unscrupulous, I will first admit that Biblical "Love" is not "sex", it is "Acceptance". That "sex" can be but is not always, a physical manifestation of "Love". Each individual upon this earth should take great care in sexual matters. Anything which is "selfish" sex or other, is a Biblical sin. You know, or will understand this upon reading your Bible. "Selfishness" is the base of All sin from the story of the fruit of the garden on. In fact, the "FRUIT" of the garden is symbolic of selfishness itself.

It took me many years of praying to God in the name of Christ, Jesus Christ, the only one in my life that "Loved" (Accepted) me unconditionally. Almost 40 years of praying that God would make me "normal".
Don't talk to me about change as such, you have no idea what it is like to live one's life in self-loathing and self-hatred.
I am past 50 now, and God has shown me the error of my ways. All scientific studies conclude that homosexuality is normal, in humans and the animal world.
I prayed all my life, in the name of Jesus Christ, that God make me a "normal" person. I was almost 40 years old when, while reading the Bible, after a prayer in the name of Jesus, that God explained to me that the Bible is not pornography.
That all sin is based in selfishness, not sex.
I was created homosexual. I tried desperately to not be homosexual. Even dating girls who would decide to love me and end with broken hearts (not bragging but feeling terrible for what I did to them, it was selfish of me).
Neither God, not Christ allow for the persecution of any neighbor, no matter how far the neighbor lives from one. I know this now, as I know that I was so wrong to persecute myself. How many years I wasted where I might have been helpful to someone else but I was crying because I was not heterosexual.
God creates all things living, Satan has only the power of deception, not creation. Psychiatric change of sexuality does not work, though I often have wished it would. It makes the patient celibate sometimes, to live a life alone in the world but it usually messes the psyche of the patient to the patients detriment.
Yes, God, in Christ can do all things. However, as I have learned, there is a purpose, in God, for homosexuality that most cannot see. Even most homosexuals cannot see the purpose.

  • Gay Man Files $70M Suit Against Bible Publishers Over 'Homosexual' Verses

    Hi All,
It is about time that someone took those who would manipulate scripture so carelessly.
Gay teens have the highest suicide rate in the United States due to being told that God hates them and the Bible condemns them.
Homosexuals are often abused beaten and even murdered because of misinterpreted scripture. These murders, such as the crucification of young Matthew Shepard, even given the approval of some Christian sects.
Only because the congregation is taught according to sloppy translation of verse.
I hope the man wins to let the supposedly "literate" understand that they have a responsibility to truth. I think the jury should award him free lunches for the duration of the trial and taxi fare home afterward.

  • Five Years Later, Where are the Christians in Iraq?

What can be expected? A President who declares himself a Christian, a powerful evangelistic Christian Right who backed his plan for war (especially the 700 club, which, as the deceits of Mr. Bush came to light, quickly backtracked).
Little mention is made that, for all Saddam's being a "bad man", the Jews and Christians in Iraq were under his protection. With his beheading, they became open targets for all three of the main religious factions in Iraq.
What are those Iraqis to think anyway. The news in the United States is not hidden from them. It was only with the powerful and vocal Christian Rights approval that Congress became afraid to not grant war powers to the President.
And all based on the (un)Holy conjecture that one can save people by dropping smart bombs on innocent children and their families.
True Christianity cannot be spread with a gun or with coercion.

  • Calif. Supreme Court Takes Up Same-Sex 'Marriage'

    Greetings and Salutations,

    Oh we of little faith.
Where did the idea that God created marriage come? God created man, "male and female" created he them" (the "soul", it is neither male nor female). God shall later create the physical body and blow into it the "soul" (breath of life). He later will separate the genders.
    That man shall have companionship.
And man shall cleave unto women, the two shall become as one.

I might mention that the idea of man having one less rib than women is a fallacy. Males and Females have the same number of ribs. :)

"Marriage" is an institution of Government, not of God. A piece of paper, a contract, which can be, or not be validated by the church in the form of a wedding.
A wedding is an oath of two. A VOW unto God. Not a legal contract of man.

As for me, who would I be to sit in a chair of passing judgment and claim the right to deny any human a Vow unto the Lord God? At the judgment, shall I be taken before God to say, "Yes Lord God, in the name of Jesus, I protected you from a Vow"?
No, I am surely not so righteous as to demand others tow the line of my devotion.

    Love

    Greetings and Salutations,

You have heard it said that only unforgivable sin is to deny the Holy Ghost, the "comforter". Many understand this to be suicide. I will tell you in truth that anyone who denies comfort to his neighbor risks the judgment. Anyone who denies such hope and comfort to the point of causing the suicide of another is guilty of the killing. This is denial of the Holy Ghost.

Many might lift the head above the neighbor and claim them children of Satan. I say unto you, who but the Father is the power of creation? The only power which Satan has is the power of "deception". It is easy to know truth, it is much harder and far more important to know that which is false.
Have we not been told by Jesus the Christ that the church leaders and translators of the Scripture have confused it for the sake of their own selfish purpose.

"...even the women and children were thieves and murderers." "If a man should sojourn unto your land, give him water for his thirst and a place of shade to rest."

The sin of Sodom is inhospitality to strangers, unless one reads the story as an adolescent reads a National Geographic Magazine, looking for a picture of a naked tribes-person. The Bible is NOT pornography.

Be not confused. "That which ye do to the Least of his Children, so do ye unto the Father"
"Ye shall pay every whit for that which ye have wrought"

We are admonished to accept our neighbor as ourself. This comes with NO EXCEPTIONS.
    Love.

    Hi,
    Nice article.

Sad to see that it is filled with someones numerology figures. Attempting to make "more than 200" look like an enormous participation of past patients, when it is itself an obvious small percentage of the original group(s).

The gist of the whole thing is that the only persons to really profit from it are the homosexuals who came to be more accepting of their own selves. Not the original intentions of the therapy.

The 13% who came to consider themselves straight are a real situation though. These are the main group who will degrade into damaged individuals. They are success to the therapy because they avoid homosexual contact, not because they enjoy heterosexual contact.
You see? They are the ones who are NOT well adjusted to their environment. They have hope that they will be heterosexual and accepted by their fellow Christians. Having been made to believe that Christ had no place for them before, if they do not succeed, who will accept them after? These are the poor souls who have become sheep without a Shepard.
Having been treated as if they are the least of God's children, if they do not succeed in becoming heterosexual, they have no place left to turn.

True hope can only come from Jesus. If one despairs and seeks help in the name of the Christ, Christ promises that He will send the Holy Ghost, the comforter, to these in need.
It is also the only unforgivable sin, to deny the Holy Ghost.
To deny the comforter. Many say this is to commit suicide. I say that it is as it is written, to deny anyone "hope".

The 13% success rate needs a prayer from everyone. Not that they live as I think they should, but to live as God tells them to live.

    Hi,
I am new and a bit confused (my natural state of being :).
Is there some question of this article that it should not be posted or considered? This thing should have never happened and all should be warned of the possibilities, lest my child be so used by another person.
Thereby, it is part of my first post. Thank you.

    By Dean Pritchard

A minister and former Christian college instructor has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a young man who sought counselling after he feared he was homosexual.

A jury returned with the guilty verdict early last night after only a few hours of deliberations.

Terrance Lewis, 60, will be sentenced at a later date.

Earlier in the day, defence lawyer Ron Simenik argued the victim knew full well the intimate sessions he shared with Lewis had nothing to do with “therapy.”

“They did it mutually by consent,” Simenik said. “We may not agree with it or understand it, but at the end of the day, that’s not the issue.”

Crown attorney Dale Schille said the evidence against Lewis was “overwhelming” and he never denied the allegations in a statement to police.

In earlier testimony, the alleged victim, now 29, told court he started meeting Lewis for counselling sessions in early 2000 after his parents caught him viewing gay pornography on the family computer.

Lewis — a family friend and minister — confided he had his own sexual identity issues and the two embarked on weekly counselling sessions designed to “assist me to be straight and to live a straight life,” the man said.

The man said Lewis started a program of “touch therapy,” which included the two kissing and fondling each other and engaging in sexual roleplaying.

“He said I was to tell no one about it because no one would understand,” the man testified.

During “touch therapy” sessions in Lewis’ car, Lewis asked him to masturbate, the man said. Lewis also admitted to fantasizing about him, the man said.

Simenik said yesterday the men didn’t become sexually intimate until a year after they started seeing each other.

“It started as a friendship, evolved, they became closer ... two consenting adults involved in mutual intimacy,” Simenik said.
