Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (JN 8:32)
Hello LSC, I never wrote about being defensive, if some atheists want to be more proactive then writing books like the God delusion, fine, why should they keep quite and not put their views forward? Is it wrong for athesists to do that, can't see how? As for being removed from public dealings I can't really comment on that as we don't have seperation of church and state as you do, and to be hones...more

Is it wrong for athesists to do that, can't see how? As for being removed from public dealings I can't really comment on that as we don't have seperation of church and state as you do, and to be honest in the UK people are pretty well relaxed about all that, just getting on with their own lives, leaving others to live their own with a faith or lack of it. With American box office takings so far of one hundread and six million dollars, I guess your right, or is it you out of touch? The sex is only a small part of the movie and there are much darker parts, yet no one seems to comment on these.
Two things CC 1. Surely choosecalvinism is an oxymoron as one does not do any choosing due to having been predestined to accept it. 2. We all make mistakes writing comments so its pretty petty to point something out like that as if it strengthens something one has to say. Apart from that Bw Steve
LSC...Bit of cut and paste, but just to help me answer, not being rude (hand on heart). Steve the problem is "atheists don't believe" in any thing right?....Not sure what you mean by that, I wrote that for the atheist it it just seems unlikely, not much to add to that. Atheism has declared all out war on God his followers, and remember it's a God they don't even believe exists...Have they, ...more

Atheism has declared all out war on God his followers, and remember it's a God they don't even believe exists...Have they, news to me many of them just want to get on quitely with their lives or at least expect others to be prepared to justify their beliefs, hardly declaring war (well not in my book and you think such an approach to others is wrong, do you?).
we will use logic, rational and "good" science to defend our faith,...Fair enough if you want to just remember as I wtote in another post below science can't prove things either way, but as you say it matter very little.

I don't know the type of atheism you write about EH, the type I know makes no such assertion rather taking the position that it seems unlikely that God or Gods exist and so atheists live as if that is the case. Problem with all the long words that you use, is that at least the scientific ones don't prove or disprove the existence of God, in using them I wonder if you are aware of this? Maybe some...more

Maybe some atheists do misunderstand the Christian faith, but you would do well to not make the same mistake yoursefl when writing about atheistic beliefs.less
On Wednesday, Marcus Lamb said via Twitter that he took the day off to spend time with his wife, calling her "sweetheart" and asking of an attached photo of Joni: "Isn't she beautiful?".....The gentleman does protest to much methinks (Hamlet Act 3 Scene 2, 230).
I'd be interested to know how a theist would refute solipsism as well. Whats to stop the world being the reflection of the thoughts of a creature (a God etc..) who thinks and experience the things we do, even to excepting Jesus as our personal saviour? Nothing as far as I see.
