"He who kidnaps a man, whether he sells him or he is found in his possession, shall surely be put to death." (Exodus 21:16)
No one could be forced into slavery unless by choice with no other means to support themselves. They were treated well and released after 7 years (jubilee). This is much different than the forced servitude of 17th century America, where they had no hope, no options and were treated cruelly.
Christians are called bigots and haters lordshepard because what the Bible teaches in is stark contrast to what the World's so called "truth" says, which is arbitrary, fluid and defenseless. So we bend or eliminate the Lord's Truth to fit the World View, or do with faithfully follow His Truth no matter what the World says? I'd rather be hated and accountable and true to God than compromise and be loved by men.less

"do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man"
This is not an issue of "interpretation of the Scripture" as Ms. Walker claims, do a search in every translation and the result is the same. The GBC is well within their biblical right to exclude this Church which chooses to cut out the parts of the Bible they don't like, or to suit their own ends. What is really "sad" is Missions purveying false doctrine and heretical non-biblical beliefs!less
