Do we really think that God looks down upon this man more than other sinners (by the way, we are all sinners!). A sin is a sin... God does not have a sin scale. Even one little lie receives the same punishment as murder... Hell.
So I gather from what I've been reading here that lusting after another person... killing someone so they can be with the one they are lusting after is worse than what Mr. Haggard has professed to doing. King David was the leader of God's chosen people! King David fell head first into some of what we would consider the worst sins you could commit... But God forgave King David, not because of anything King David did or said, but because King David truly repented in his heart for his sins. Of course King Davids life was never really the same after all that, and neither will Mr. Haggards life ever be the same.

One of the things I love about the bible is it is filled with people just like me... SINNERS!! But the word of God gives us hope.. Hope in a loving and gracious God who just and able to cleans us from all unrighteousness through His Son Jesus Christ. That is Pastor Ted Haggard's hope, and that is my hope as well.
