  • Prop. 8 Opponents Begin Effort to Strike 'Marriage' from Calif. Law

"The proponents of the measure are two Southern California college students, Kaelan Housewright and Ali Shams."

Once again we see that the minority will try to force their immoral way of life upon everyone.

That is the problem with our society. When you get married you are supposed to be married for life. So if you don't intend on staying married to that person for life, then don't get married. Get to know that person very well before you make that decision. We don't live in a movie or TV show, things don't work out in the end like a Julia Roberts movie. We live in the real world.

It's very true what he said. Although I wanted to stay married to my wife, she left. It's almost impossible to reason with an unbeliever in situations like divorce. My advice is to listen to what the bible says about being equally yoked. I wish I would have.

Well I applaud them for getting married. I don't understand why they're saying, "She's decided to keep the baby". What's that all about? This may come as a surprise to most Americans, but people still do start families young like nature intended, instead of waiting until they are 40. Not everyone lives in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or the Upper East Side of Manhattan. GO LIFE!

Again, I ask this. How can someone claiming to be a Christian vote for Obama? He is the most radical supporter of abortion rights in the Senate. Come on people, wake up!

He can't be the anti-christ, I don't think. But maybe him being President plays into the end times. You are right, they are not moral issues! No Christian with a conscience could continue in what he is doing and feel right about it. People are voting for this guy, and are not even aware of what his agenda really is. People voting for him are a reflection of American society with the nice talking flashy outer shell. But deep within there is evil.

Hey, until he denounces abortion and gay-rights then I don't see any reason for a Christian to support him. Plain and simple!

“Therefore, I urge you brothers in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—which is your spiritual act of worship. Do not be conformed to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

When I was there they made me sign a piece of paper that said I won’t spread or teach my religion, which we all know is Christianity. Back then I was not living the life very well so I signed it. I wish I could go back to that time; I would not have signed it! I'm glad that Marine did what he did, it's a shame that our politicians, and even our religious leaders back down and give in to every little cry that the Muslims make. You have to ask yourself one question, if the situation were reversed do you think there would be any controversy? Keeping God out of anything will doom it to fail. I hope that the US Government knows what they are doing.

I don't agree with the Iraq war at all. That seems to be a common misconception; that all Christians agree with our current Presidents' war policies. I spent over 2 years deployed to that country, and I can tell you we do not need to be there.

I can't understand how someone can try and live a life that serves God and tries to do everything that God commands, but still promotes Homosexuality and Abortion? If you read the bible, it specifically states what God commands. It's there in plain view! Do they just choose not to see it or what?

Amen to that. It is time that we stop thinking about ourselves for a change. Rely on God, and do whatever possible to save the children! I still cannot believe how people can just sit back and think it is OK for people to murder children.

I still cannot see how someone can advocate abortion! Every time I even think about doing something in my day-to-day routine, a little voice in my head always tells me whether I am doing right or wrong. Perhaps it is because these people are lost, and do not have the Holy Spirit in them to tell them they are wrong. And for Christians who advocate abortion, seriously what do you think Jesus would say to that? I mean come on now; you know that Jesus would not stand for abortion for any reason at all! God loves every single one of us, and it is up to us Christians to show that love. Just look at any child, and you can see the hand of God working.
