A far cry from "Ozzie and Harriet", "Father Knows Best", and even "Happy Days". Perhaps a little more in the category of the "Little Rascals".

This program seems to truly represent Reality TV. And may also represent the truth of what many in secular society (and even in the Christian community) want to justify.

"Land has been vocal in his call for the respect of religious freedom, though he opposes the planned Islamic cultural center and mosque in New York City, calling it inappropriate."

Americans have been falsely pursuaded into believing that a rejection of a Mosque at Ground Zero is a rejection of the practice of Islam in this country. And the church is not helping.

There is significant symbolic meaning for a Mosque at Ground Zero in comparison with the picturesque Mosque in Instanbul Turkey. This is not just another place of Islamic worship.

Throughout this country there are hundreds of existing Mosques, and many more being built as we blog. Isn't it interesting that we are not arguing about these other Mosques as we are about the Mosque at Ground Zero. And perhaps history would show that many churches are built on sites where Americans died for the cause of freedom.

"David Carr of The New York Times comments that “‘Skins’ is nothing new, only a corporate effort to clone a provocative drama that will make MTV less dependent on reality shows and add to the bottom line.”

It is interesting that MTV, like VH1, used to be all about music videos. But more controversial music videos. They have always been that way. Now they have decided to bump it up a notch. Good controversy always draws ratings.

It is also interesting to note that the opening line to this article is rather crude and suggestive in itself. And advertisers such as H&R Block and General Motors are really not for this audience anyways.

    And Christian parents should remember....
Pro 22:5 Thorns and snares are in the way of the perverse; he who keeps his soul shall be far from them.

Perhaps we should first consider the additional cut that the Democrats added to the extension of the Bush-era Tax cuts. This additional cut diverts 2% of the gross (intended for Social Security) from our paycheck for us to spend. So far this diversion only applies in 2011.

I'm not sure that we will be thanking our Government for giving us the extra 2% now to buy ourselves a new HD Television set that we will likely not have anymore by the time we retire. Or perhaps there might be a greater blessing to us in giving that 2% to the Body of Christ.

Not sure if the polling numbers are really telling the truth.

Nevertheless, good posturing. And perhaps, like Sarah Palin, Huckabee should use his own Facebook page to announce his campaign run instead of the media.

But, realistically, there may be a problem with Huckabee and Palin going against each other initially only to be friends again after the primaries. This plays too much into politics as usual, and the Republicans need to have a different political scheme.

"Ambassador Hossam Zaki, the official spokesman of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry also criticized the appeal, labeling his demand as an "unacceptable interference in Egypt's affairs."

Very interesting. All the way from the Vatican, the spiritual authority of the Catholic church is felt and rejected. The Pope and other Catholic leaders have spent much time in recent years trying to reconcile words.

But here is a perspective to consider. We know that Light and Dark cannot mix. And we also know that if Satan is casting out Satan, his kingdom cannot stand.

If the Pope is speaking from the truth, then this fracture would be expected.

But if the Papal authority is just as false as Islam, then the kingdom of Satan has divided and cannot stand.

Protestants would be very pleased either way.

Human rights will really get little attention.

The Chinese banking system is the largest investor in United States debt. And although it is not mentioned in this article, the two Presidents are very aware of Chinese efforts to move the global economy away from the United States Dollar and towards the Chinese Yuan as the primary reference for the value of all currency.

And there are many other countries besides China that a very interested in this change.

Americans have learned how to live in an economy which borrows and is able to print money to cover overspending. And everyone seemed to be enjoying the gains, or the perceived wealth. And while the borrowing will continue, the power that controls it may soon change.

Rom 7:1 Or are ye ignorant, brethren (for I speak to men that know the law), how that the law hath dominion over a man for so long time as he liveth?
Rom 7:2 For the woman that hath a husband is bound by law to the husband while he liveth; but if the husband die, she is discharged from the law of the husband.

If a woman is freed from the law of the husband, she is also freed from the law of submission. And if there are still children to be raised in the home, she becomes the overall authority in the home. And there is no suggestion made by secular society or the bible that a widow (especially a Godly woman with children) must remarry for the sake of authority in the home.

So then if this principle is found in the home, it seems it could also be found within the church. The Body of Christ is in both places.

And we should also remember that even though a woman was not called to be one a Christ's disciples, the Great Commission was not just a call to Christ's disciples.less
