'Fastest Selling Artist of 2003'

Casting Crowns has rightly earned the title as the fastest-selling artist of 2003 and it’s no wonder why. Just five weeks ago, Casting Crowns debuted No. 1 on the Christian SoundScan sales chart, which was followed last week by another milestone as the band celebrated its first No. 1 on the Radio & Records Christian Adult Contemporary chart.

This week, the band’s presence has only grown. While maintaining top spot on the radio, they climbed to No. 11 on Billboard’s Top Heatseekers chart. The Heatseekers chart lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of the Billboard 200. The sales have also reached high numbers. The only 6-week-out album also found its place on the Christian SoundScan again this week, grabbing No.3.

On top of climbing music charts and experiencing high sales, the demand for Casting Crowns’ performances are growing. Just in October, Casting Crowns finished the “Let My Words Be Few” tour headlining Rebecca St. James. They will be kicking off another tour next spring.

The excitement of the band’s success has also spread vertically. Jeff Roberts, president of Jeff Roberts and Associates, noted, "We’re thrilled to represent Casting Crowns and the response we’re experiencing from the church buyers, festivals, and promoters is incredible! I believe Casting Crowns is indeed the breakout new artist of 2003. My staff and I are grateful and more than excited about the future of this band."
