The 12-12-12 Hurricane Sandy benefit concert will take place on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden in New York, in one of the most eagerly awaited music concerts of modern times. The concert will feature some of the biggest names in the music industry as well as a host of actors and comedians.

The concert for Sandy relief will start at 7.30 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream right here on The Christian Post via the player below. There is also a link provided at the bottom of this article to donate to the Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.

The 12-12-12 concert sold out long ago, and The Robin Hood Foundation has reportedly already raised $30 million to contribute to the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut regions affected. Every dollar made from ticket sales will go directly toward Hurricane Sandy relief, thanks to the generosity of sponsors, organizers and Robin Hood's board of directors.

The concert will go on for more than four hours, and will see performances from the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Bon Jovi, Eric Clapton, Dave Grohl, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Chris Martin, Eddie Vedder, Roger Waters, and Kanye West.

Some reports have even suggested that legendary rockers Nirvana will reunite for the benefit concert, with The Beatles' Sir Paul McCartney filling in for Kurt Cobain.

The concert will not only be about the music, however, and there are a string of actors and comedians are set to take part in one way or another.

Some of those also being touted as on the bill for tonight include Billy Crystal, Jon Stewart, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kristen Stewart, Chris Rock, Susan Sarandon, Adam Sandler, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jimmy Fallon, Steve Buscemi, Quentin Tarantino, Seth Meyers, and Season Combs.

The concert will start at 7.30 p.m. ET and will be live streamed on nearly 30 websites, including YouTube, MTV.com, Hulu and Myspace. Thirty-four TV channels will also be showing the concert.

Numerous movie theaters have also said they will be showing the concert on big screens for fans too.

The location-based social network Foursquare has also announced that it is offering a single-day badge (a "Be Robin Hood" badge), which can be unlocked by checking in anywhere in the world with the hashtag #121212concert. The first 25,000 checkins will trigger $10 donations from Samsung Galaxy, up to $250,000.

The concert can be watched online through free live stream below, and all watchers are encouraged to donate by clicking here.
