The new 16GB white version of the LG Nexus 4 is currently out of stock in the Google Play store.
This overwhelming demand for the white Nexus 4 was also seen when the original black version of the smartphone launched at the end of last year. Google should have been better prepared this time around as the device seems to have not lost any steam.
However, for those who insist on owning the smartphone in white at the moment, Google is still offering the 8GB version in the Play store. T-Mobile is also offering the 16GB version, but it is only available on contract at this time.
Google did not announce when the device would be back in stock, however, it should be available for purchase again sometime in the next few weeks.
The company confirmed the release of the white LG Nexus 4 variant last week.
"Nexus 4 set the standard for Android 4.2, JellyBean smartphones," said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Mobile Communications Company. "Nexus 4 White delivers the same Google experience to consumers in a stylish and attractive color option."
The new version comes with the same 4.7-inch 1280 x 768 True HD IPS Plus display with 320ppi, which is also found on the regular model. It also features a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and 2GB of RAM.
LG is rumored to be releasing another version of the Nexus 4 that comes with LTE connectivity. However, not much else is known about that device at this time. The Nexus 5 is also rumored to be launching sometime in the near future. That smartphone could be the device where Google introduces Android 5.0, Key Lime Pie.
