The tree could be the Tokyo’s “golden” version of the world-renowned Rockefeller Christmas Tree that draws crowds of people all over the world.

“Bowing at the Ginza Tanaka jewelry store in the Japanese capital, this particular tree attracts loads of attention in the Land of the Rising Sun. In fact, the new installation of the iconic holiday symbol has turned into a must-see tourist attraction in Tokyo's most alluring shopping district,” said Jane Lasky of Huliq.com.

Created by floral arrangement artist Shogo Kariyazaki, the tree was created to top the $850,000 “Gold Christmas” tree the Ginza Tanaka jewelry store featured in 2006.

Priced at $2 Million, the Christmas tree is acknowledged by the World Records Academy as the World’s Most Expensive Christmas Tree. However, the tree is not available for purchase.

Although it took 26 pounds of pure gold to create the tree, the tree is not fully valued for its gold.

The value of the gold used in the tree comes to $750,000; however, the store’s marketing manager, Naoto Mizuki, told London’s Daily Mail newspaper: “Considering the time it took to make, the designer and the hard work put into it, we can assume that the cost of this tree would be approximately ($2 million).”

For those who are looking to get a glimpse of the tree, it will be on display until Dec. 25.
