2016 NFL Draft News: Connor Cook Remains Undrafted After Round 3

Day 3 of 2016's National Football League (NFL) draft has wrapped up but some experts are getting worried as Connor Cook remains undrafted despite his promising contributions to the team that will take him in.

Some NFL experts initially predicted that he would be drafted by the first round but the second and third days have passed with no place for him in any teams. The Washington Post reports that six quarterbacks who were expected to be drafted either at the same time with him or even a little bit later already have places to call home.

During the pre-draft evaluations, Cook was asked about his leadership skills and if he believes he can be considered a team leader as he had previously been involved in some issues pointing to his teamwork abilities. It should be noted that Cook wasn't chosen to be a team captain at Michigan State for his final season.

"You can go through and if you ever want to ask any one of my teammates...as them if I was a team leader, if I was a leader of that team, they would say yes," he explained.

NFL's Chase Goodbread says Cook was highly expected to be the fourth quarterback picked for this year's drafts but it seems he will be pushed back further. There have been earlier reports about his character and leadership that became a main concern for several NFL teams but some analysts believe he will be chosen by Saturday.

"I think he'll go (Saturday) in the fourth round," NFL Media draft expert Mike Mayock said of the former Spartans player.

Despite all the controversies surrounding Cook's attitude in the field and in the locker room, CBS Sports notes that he is one passer who has outstanding winning percentage. It has yet to be seen which group will take him home but some experts believe his personality is a big issue that has to be resolved before drafting ends.
