The most decorated swimmer of all time, Michael Phelps, said that the Rio 2016 Olympics will be his last—a statement that he has made in the past Olympics already, but this time, he insists that this is it. The 2016 Rio Olympics will be Phelps' fifth Olympics, and he is the only athlete who is given the distinction. All swimming events will be at the Olympic Aquatics Stadium.

Phelps' Last Hurrah
Of the 16 swimming events, Phelps is expected to swim in at least three individual events: 100 fly, 200 individual medley and 200 meter butterfly. He is also preparing to be part of the relays.
According to the schedule, the swimming events will be from Aug. 6 to Aug. 13, 2016. Details may change as the Olympics near.

"The Body Is Done"
In an interview, Phelps has said that this is his last Olympic. He has said that he is ready to move forward and have a life outside the water. He is now 31 years old.
Phelps spent some time in rehab for the second time for his alcohol problem and soul searched. He came to a point that he needed to find himself and decided to go into therapy. It was there that he learned to give up alcohol—something that he sought refuge in the past thus the 2 DUIs. He has also opened his door to his father who wasn't a part of his life in the past.
Michael Phelps is now ready to move forward.
But he is bent on giving up competitive swimming to focus on the new love of his life—his family. Phelps became a brand-new father to Boomer Robert Phelps with his long-time girlfriend, Nicole Johnson.
