33Miles Shows Early Success Despite Absence of Album
33Miles, the newest group signed by Christian label INO Records, has already gained acclaim with its first single debut, “What Could Be Better,” which was the most added track according to the AC Indicator for both its first and second week out.
The sensation comes well before the release of their self-titled debut album which is scheduled to release on Apr. 10.
The band has a diverse sound that saturates the listener with an assortment of styles including pop, rock, country, and worship moments. 33Miles brings a nice blend to the already growing genres of Christian music.

“In this project, you will hear commercial music at its very best,” praises James Rueger, talent scout for INO Records, on the INO website. “33Miles brings a very well balanced mix of powerful ballads with a touch of country infused pop songs.”
The focus of the group is to encourage and uplift the Christian community. The musicians want to become a mainstay not only on the record scene but within the church as well.
“Just because you are a Christian, doesn’t mean you live a perfect life,” explains lead vocalist Jason Barton on the band’s website. “There are plenty of hurts. If we can come into a church and encourage them, build them up, edify them, and get them to a place where they are excited about what God’s going to do in their life, then we feel like we’ve accomplished our purpose.”
The group derives its name from the life of Jesus. 33 represents the 33 years that Jesus was on the earth and the lifestyle that he showed to everyone.
To ready themselves for the upcoming album release, the band will tour to more than 17 cities nationwide. They will be playing church dates and festivals throughout 2007.
