50 Cent's First Pitch Mocked by Police Officers: 'They Pulled Me Over,' Says Rapper (VIDEO)

50 Cent's first pitch was probably the worst by a celebrity in a long time— the left-handed rapper's throw at Citi Field on Tuesday night sailed way left of catcher Anthony Recker and nearly nicked a cameraman. His embarrassment didn't end on the field though, as 50 Cent revealed Friday that the cops pulled him over to poke fun at him.

50 Cent was talking about his flub at the beginning of the Pirates-Mets game on "Good Morning America" when he shared the funny anecdote.

"I actually got pulled over by New York City police," the rapper, born Curtis Jackson, explained. "They pulled me over in my car. I said, 'I got my license,' because I was a little nervous they pulled me over, and I was like, 'What did I do?'"

"And then he said, 'You know that pitch was terrible.' He didn't give me no ticket, no nothing,'" he added.

Some were suspicious that Jackson's foul pitch was a publicity stunt, as his album Animal Ambition will be released June 3. However, 50 Cent denied it, saying the ball "slipped" from his hand.

After the throw went awry earlier this week, the "In Da Club" rapper had no choice but to smile and shrug it off. Media outlets, though, had a ball of a time coming up with headlines about 50's horrible pitch.
"Watch 50 Cent throw away his street cred," the Washington Times joked.

"50 Cent just threw a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad pitch," a Huffington post headline read.

"50 Cent not on money with 1st pitch at Citi Field," AJC.com posted, with the Associated Press calling the 38-year-old hip-hop mogul "comically off target."
