50 Shades of Grey movie cast rumors have gone into overdrive with fans of the novel desperate to know who will play main characters Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.
In the latest cast rumors 20 year old Cara Delevingne has reportedly taken an audition for a role in the film.
It is unknown which character the model will play, but it is reported that director Sam Taylor-Johnson wanted her in the film. Other reports have claimed that Delevingne is a "front runner" for the part she is auditioning for, but that it will not be Anastasia Steele, but a smaller part.
Delevingne is famous for being the former face of Burberry, and she has previously gained a small role in 2012's "Anna Karenina."
She reportedly is extremely excited at being considered for a part in the 50 Shades of Grey movie, which is sure to be a smash hit when it comes out at theaters.
For the film "Anna Karenina," she worked alongside Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who is the husband of "50 Shades Of Grey" director Sam Taylor-Johnson.
Some have touted that Delevingne could be cast as Kate Kavanagh, who is Anastasia Steele's best friend and roommate. In the book, Kate is the one who is actually supposed to interview Christian Grey for the school newspaper. However, when she falls sick she asks Steele to cover for her, and the story between Steele and Grey develops from there.
Other parts that Delevingne has been touted to be vying for include; Mia Grey, who is Christian Grey's adopted sister; Leila Williams, who is a former submissive of Christian Grey; Ella, who is the biological mother of Christian Grey, who will appear as a younger self in some flashback scenes.
Rumors of course continue to swirl regarding who will get the main parts of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.
Some of the stars linked with Anastasia Steele have been Alexis Bledel, Emilia Clarke, Amanda Seyfried, Felicity Jones, and Mila Kunis.
Where as some of the top actors linked with the role of Christian Grey have been Matt Bomer, Henry Cavill, Ian Somerhalder, Stephen Amell, and Ryan Gosling.
Various publications have held polls on what fans' favorite pairings would be, and topping some lists have been combinations with Matt Bomer as Grey, and Alexis Bledel as Steele, as well as Henry Cavill as Grey and Emilia Clarke as Steele.
However, fans should not write off Ian Somerhalder of "The Vampire Diaries" being chosen and he has long been a name linked with the part of Grey. Early on he led fan polls to take the lead character in the movie adaptation of EL James' novel.
Henry Cavill has also been more strongly linked with the part of Grey in recent weeks, especially after impressing in the role of superhero Superman, in the recently released Man of Steel.
"There's nothing official," Somerhalder said to "Mr Porter" when asked about the casting of Christian Grey. "But there's a website you can go to where you can make your basement like a dungeon. So, I thought I'd get prepared, just in case [I was cast]!"
The Fifty Shades Of Grey movie is scheduled to premiere in theaters on Aug. 1, 2014. However, despite the widespread casting rumors, no official casting announcements have been made.
