As Christians, we know that we can at times we can have a bitter spirit. It can happen to any one of us if we are not careful. The root of the bitterness can grow a substantial amount before we overcome it with goodness.

Having an unforgiving attitude, unresolved anger, resentment, hate, jealousy, and continued disappointment are just a few of life's struggles that cause us to plunge into bitterness. When we are dealing with a bitter spirit, we often look for help or someone to heal us of the bad feeling.

The Word of God is the healing balm for a bitter spirit. Reading through it in small doses at a time can help release the tortured soul to know love, joy, and peace from the Holy Spirit.
