The alpha version of Android-based CyanogenMod 7.1 operating sustem for HP TouchPad has just been released. CyanogenMod for TouchPad is an aftermarket version of Google's Android. It has been designed to replace the previous version of Android, which still occurs on several smartphones and tablets, according to Tech Gadgets Web.

PC Pro, a tech publication, has published complete instructions as far as the installation of this prototype software goes. It gives a detailed, tech-heavy description of all actions you need to take, and tricks you can perform, like downloading external programs necessary for smoother installation proces (the article includes links).

PC Pro recommends to begin the installation by clearing the data already stored on the TouchPad, or by making sure there is at least 2GB of free space on the device.
