A/G Pentecostal Preacher's Week Scheduled for March 8-10, 2004

The Assemblies of God denomination has set apart March 8-10, 2004, as the Pentecostal preachers week. Attendants to the service, slated for Springfield, Missouri, will have the chance to sharpen their skills and refocus their vision as a Pentecostal preacher.

The goal of the week, as specified by the A/G website, are to emphasize the Pentecostal Distinctive, understand the partnership of the Holy Spirit in any ministry, rekindling the passion for worship, receiving resourses and tools to enhance preaching and to receive academic credits.

The extensive list of speakers includes: Dr. Gordon Anderson, the President of North Central University (NCU) in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and member of the national Commission on Doctrinal Purity; James K. Bridges, chairman of the boards of directors for the Hillcrest Children’s Home, the Highlands Child Placement Services, Maranatha Village and the AGFSG Investment Committee; Frank Cargill, corporate secretary of the Board of Regents for Southwestern Assembly of God University in Waxahachie, Texas; Maury Davis, Executive Presbyter of the Tennessee District Council of the Assemblies of God; Danny de León, general presbyter of the Assemblies of God; Rick DuBose, pastor of Sachse Assembly of God, Sachse, Texas; Danny DuVall, founder of the Christian Life Church; Debbie Gill, national director of the Division of Christian Education and the commissioner on Discipleship for the Assemblies of God; Michael Goldsmith, ordained minister with the A/G; J. Lowell Harrup, pastor of Northland Cathedral Assembly of God in Kansas City, Missouri; Bobby L. Johnson, pastor of First Assembly of God, Van Buren, Arkansas; Robert C. Jones, senior pastor of First Assembly of God Niagara Falls; John A. Loper, Jr, senior pastor of Garywood Assembly of God; Lloyd Middleton, Southern Missouri district executive presbyter; Gene Roncone, Pastor of Aurora First Assembly; Randall Ross, keynote speaker and conference leader for several universities; Dr. Jack Stepp, guest host for Getting Together on Cornerstone Television and a radio ministry in Pittsburgh; and Martha Tennison, evangelistic speaker to women’s retreats.
