"This is the A-to-Z story of Andrew (Ben Feldman) and Zelda (Cristin Milioti) -- a pair that almost wasn't -- and all that happened from the day they met. When a computer glitch sends her a total mismatch, she's asked to come in for an interview at the internet dating site where Andrew works, and this is where it all begins. Andrew and Zelda meet for the first time and despite their differences, sparks fly. She thinks it is chance. He thinks it is fate and is convinced she's the shimmering girl in the silver dress he saw several years earlier," it continued.

Also appearing in the show are Henry Zebrowski as Stu, Lenora Crichlow as Stephie, Christina Kirk as Lydia, Hong Chau as Lora and Parvesh Cheena as Dinesh.

As with the question whether the plotline is "destined for failure" given that the show suggests a beginning and an end, showrunner Rashida Jones replied, "There will be an ending in terms of an ending, meaning a change."

"Relationships change all the time whether it means relationships end, they go to the next level, there's moving, there's kids, there's other people … Our hope is that to put that ticking clock on it will help people to invest in whatever that moment is, whatever that change is," the executive producers explained.
