'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Season 4 Spoilers: Daisy Finally Becomes Quake; Will Rejoin Team Soon

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 4 will be darker and edgier.

Finally, "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." fans will get to see Chloe Bennet play her other alter ego, Quake. At the end of Season 3, Daisy went rogue from S.H.I.E.L.D. and assumed the said monicker.

She will go on to attract a lot of attention from the villains when she assumes her powerful Inhuman persona. This will force Phil Coulson to track his former ward in order to protect her.

Speaking in an interview, Chloe said that she loved the way the show approached Quake's introduction into the series. The writers were particular with how they wanted to go about it. Chloe bared that they wanted to do the introduction earlier in the season. But in the end, she loved how they did it with the flash forward and use of newspaper articles.

Chloe added that she felt amazing playing Quake. She loved the fact that Daisy became Quake because of her past and the loss she was dealing with at that moment. It was not like she became a superhero all of a sudden.

Rough life

Loyal fans of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." are aware of Quake's imperfections and therefore can relate to her because of the trauma she has endured. Daisy became a rogue because she felt that every time she becomes close with someone, that person dies.

Daisy has had a rough life since her mother tried to kill her. Her father then had to kill her mom. Another big blow was her having a first boyfriend who was like a Nazi. She thought that the best way to save the people she cares about was to distance herself and never let anybody else get close to her again.

Chloe's character for "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 4 is a lot different from what the fans of the show are used to. When first introduced, Daisy or Skye, she was desperately looking to trade her lonely life with someone who was not alone and had a family.

More harm than good

Chloe thinks that Daisy's decision to desert S.H.I.E.L.D. will do her more harm than good. Her former teammates are hurting because of her decision. She also said that her character just isolated herself and did not gain the independence she thought she was going to have.

After being betrayed by Ward and then watching Lincoln die, Chloe says she wishes that Daisy will stay single for a while in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 4. It will not be right for her to be with someone so soon anyway, the actress added.

When "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." returns, Daisy will still be coping with Lincoln's demise. Although she sacrificed herself to take down Hive, Lincoln took her place at the last second. He died for her and to save the world.

As to the question on when Daisy will be returning to the team, Chloe does not believe it will be permanent even if her storyline will go darker than before. Executive Producer Jeph Loeb even teased that "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 4 will be moved to a later time slot of 10 p.m. because of this.
