Am I in the Body of Christ?

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. 1 John 1:7

Now that you know what the Body of Christ is, you need to know if you're part of it!

The Bible teaches that "all have sinned" (Rom. 3:23). When you steal, tell a lie or do some other wrong thing, you sin. God is holy (sinless) and He must punish sin. That punishment is separation from God forever.

The only person who never sinned was Jesus Christ, God the Son. Because He loves you, He was willing to pay for your sin. He did it by letting Himself be hung on a cross, where He suffered, bled and died. His body was buried in a tomb, but three days later He came back to life. Today, He's alive in Heaven, and He wants you to join Him someday.

The only way you can be forgiven and know you are going to Heaven is to trust Jesus as your Savior. Tell God that you're sorry for your sin and believe Jesus died for you. Ask the Lord Jesus to come into your life and be your Savior. God promises to forgive your sin and help you live for Him. When you trust Jesus as your Savior, you become part of the Body of Christ.
