Amazing Spider-Man 2: New X-Men Days of Future Past Trailer Appears in Credits

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens in theaters in the U.K. today and those who have seen the film are reporting that a new X-Men: Days of Future Past trailer shows up in the credits.

A scene that features Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique, Lucas Till's Havok, Evan Jonigkeit's Toad, and Josh Helman's Styker shows up during the end credits of Amazing Spider-Man 2. This scene is reportedly for promotional purposes and is not a hint for a possible X-Men appearance in the next Spidey flick.

However, it does mark a business partnership between Fox and Sony, which is a huge positive for Marvel fans. Combining the two universes would definitely be a huge money maker for both companies. It is unclear if this promotional clip will show up in the U.S. version of Amazing Spider-Man 2.

In other news, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 sequel known as the "Sinister Six" will not feature the classic line-up of the hero's rogue gallery.

Instead, the creators of the film will mesh together the best most exciting six villains to face off against the hero on the big screen.

Marvel's Ari Arad and Sinister Six producer Matt Tolmach recently discussed the film with IGN.com. Arad feels the need to draw from different eras of Spider-Man in order to create the Sinister Six team that will translate best to the big screen. He told the site not to expect the original or classic line-up from the comics.

"When you translate comic to film the word 'classic' means the first fifty issues," he said. "Because after that we all made changes; changes that had to do with science-fiction turning into science. I think just the need to move this world forward."

He also discussed the adjustments that need to be made when transforming comic book villains into actual movie characters.

"So, of course we'll make adaptations about these guys and what was their motivations because many of them have multiple motivations. It depends, is it Ultimate Spider-Man? Is it Spider-Man? Is it some three-piece issue that takes them to space? We have a bigger responsibility to represent the character of the villain as it was conceived, because that way it will survive the test of time. All the rest …. That's a movie," said Arad.
