Amazon Prime August 2016 List of New TV Series and Movie Releases; To Include Classics and Award Winners

What await Amazon members in their binge watching for the rest of the summer

Amazon has just announced the list of new titles available for its Prime members for August 2016. Included in the streaming additions are two new Amazon originals, The Kicks and Elvis & Nixon. The first is a new live-action series about a 12 year old soccer player named Devin. Elvis & Nixon is about the untold story of the meeting between Elvis Presley and President Richard Nixon.

 Also coming in August are Seasons 4 and 5 of the critically acclaimed Showtime series, House of Cards. There are a lot of classic movies, too, such as The Matrix Trilogy, A Clockwork Orange, Mission Impossible-Rogue Nation and the beloved romantic comedy classic, You've Got Mail. Just last month, Amazon announced that its Prime Video is the exclusive streaming home for a select Warner Bros. classics. Avid cineasts however may find Melancholia and A Royal Affair more to their liking.

Fans of the original HBO original series Game of Thrones will definitely welcome the news that the show's highly anticipated Season 6 will also be available in Amazon this August. Other TV series Amazon members might want to check out are The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy Season 6 and Ink Masters Season 8.

Recent releases like The Huntsman: Winter's War which stars Chris Hemsworth and The Jungle Book will also be available for purchase in Amazon Video. Another good news is that while Amazon Prime members have already more than 60 subscription options to choose from, come August, they will have access to new channels like the gamer network, Machinima and Shout! Factory.

Amazon Prime is not only giving its members the perfect reason to binge watch their favorite shows and movies but it is giving them the opportunity to discover other shows/movies to be their new favorites. Meanwhile, is the full list of its August releases so you don't have to miss out on any of them.
