The Man in the High Castle Season 2, Goliath, and Crisis in Six Scenes; Synopsis, Previews; Amazon Releases Nostalgia Heavy Fall Line-Up

Premiere dates, synopsis and previews included in release announcement

Amazon is banking on bringing nostalgia in its various original content series to its members in its attempt to compete with Netflix and HBO. The company announced on Monday the premiere dates for its fall line-up of shows, four of which are period pieces.

The success of shows in the historical genre such as Downton Abbey, Boardwalk Empire, and of course, Game of Thrones may have pushed Amazon Studios in this direction. However, Amazon's fall line-up includes some series set in the modern day to reach out to a broader audience.

"Crisis in Six Scenes", Woody Allen's long anticipated series is among those included with the fall premiere announcement. It is slated to premiere on September 30.
