The American Bible Society has recently launched a special fundraising project called "Scriptures for the People in China" to help provide paper to produce Bibles for distribution throughout China during 2005.
Through a matching grant challenge from "a generous supporter of the American Bible Society," every dollar given to purchase paper for another Chinese Bible will now be doubled up to $300,000.
While the American Bible Society and its partner societies that make up the United Bible Societies are able to print and distribute Bibles in China through Amity Press - the officially recognized Christian printing press of the registered church
