The panel went on further to drop the details on the much-anticipated involvement of Lady Gaga. According to the show runner, the pop icon will be a playing a baddie in Hotel – a role which she requested herself.

"She said, 'I want to be evil,'" Murphy said.

"It was one of the weirdest things of my career ever," the executive producer went on to say. "'Horror Story' has a lot of fans obviously and I get calls from some people ... how it happened with Gaga is she wrote and said, 'I love the show, would you consider putting me on it?' And I wrote back, 'Yes. CAPS CAPS...' The best call ever is 'Please wait for Gaga' ... and she got on the phone and could not have been lovelier."

The series co-creator went on to reveal as to how the "Bad Romance" performer will appear on the upcoming series.

"When you work with someone like her, you sign up for something that is larger than life and I think that's what you want," he said. "Part of her role involves fashion. You want Lady Gaga to look a certain way. The designers have been coming out of the wood works with looks for her."

"American Horror Story: Hotel" opens this October 2015 on FX.
