'American Horror Story Freak Show' Season 4 Cast Spoilers: Adds World's Shortest Woman

"American Horror Story" show creator Ryan Murphy took to Twitter on Aug. 13 to announce the newest member of the cast, the world's shortest woman, Jyoti Amge. Murphy tweeted a photo of Amge with series regular Jessica Lange, with the caption, "Jessica and our newest cast member Jyoti Amge … the world's smallest woman."

According to Deadline, the 20-year old Amge is just over two feet tall. She is considered the world's shortest woman by both the Guiness and Limca book of world records. She has appeared in a 2009 documentary about her called Body Shock and on an Indian reality TV show that is somewhat similar to "Big Brother."

Meanwhile, Patti LaBelle has also signed on to join the show for four episodes, and she will be playing Gabourey Sidibe's mother.

"LaBelle's alter ego — who I'm told does not sing — is a local townsperson who begins to unravel the murderous secrets of Twisty the Clown," an insider told TVLine. Michael Chiklis is also joining the show as Kathy Bates' ex-husband and Evan's father.

"American Horror Story" season 4 is subtitled "Freak Show," and will be set in the traditional circus town of Jupiter, Florida in 1950. The season will feature a clown killer and a bearded lady, among others.

Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Emma Roberts, Gabourey Sidibe, Kathy Bates and Sarah Paulson will be back for the show's upcoming season. It was reported that the show will feature Lange as a German-accented ringleader to a crop of various curiosities at one of the last operating freak shows in the US.

"American Horror Story: Freak Show" will premiere on October on FX.
