As stated in the official synopsis, "American Horror Story: Freak Show" will see the arrival of a "troupe of curiosities" while at the same time saw the coming of dark entities revealed as a "clown killer" and a "bearded lady," which threaten both townsfolk and the freaks.

"This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American carny experience," the description reads further.

As expected, "AHS: Freakshow' will once again feature a lot of curious characters both new and recurring. One of the most notables is the real-life record-holder for being the smallest woman in the world, Jyoti Amge, who was casted for yet an unknown role in the upcoming season.

Along with Amge are cast members who will return to the show. This includes Jessica Lange as the "German expatriate" Elsa Mars who will be responsible in running the last remaining freak shows in Florida. Also to reappear Kathy Bates playing the bearded lady; Angela Bassett as Desiree Dupree; and Sarah Paulson who will both be Bette and Dot Tattler, a conjoined twin sisters.

More casting news suggest newcomers including "Hunger Games" Wes Bentley, "Fargo" actor John Caroll Lynch (confirmed to play Twisty, the clown killer), and Finn Wittrock whose role is yet to be revealed.

Writer and producer Ryan Murphy will once again return to direct the premiere episode and hinted that the fourth season will be much "darker than Coven."

"American Horror Story: Freak Show" will air Oct. 10 p.m. on FX.
