'American Horror Story' Season 5 News, Update: Cast Member Denis O'Hare Shares Insight on Lady Gaga, Likens 'Hotel' To Season 1

It will only be weeks from now when the fifth installment of FX's hit horror anthology "American Horror Story" hits the small screen, but still a handful of details keep pouring over, hinting to fans what to expect when the show returns.

The latest we heard came right over from TVLine, which recently had a run-in with 'Hotel' returning star Denis O'Hare at the recently-held Emmys 2015 event on Sunday.

The 53-year-old actor who plays Elizabeth Taylor in Season 5 opens up about his opinion on the show's newcomer, Lady Gaga. Despite her stellar status, O'Hare revealed how the "Bad Romance" singer strives to "work really hard" on set. When asked by the media outlet's respondent, Michael Ausiello, on what to expect of the pop icon in the show, the "True Blood" actor said that fans should lookout for Gaga's "humorous," "kinda sexy, kinda glamorous, and really scary" characterization of the Countess.

As reported earlier, the "Poker Face" performer is cast as Elizabeth, the owner of Hotel Cortez. The character was revealed by executive producer Ryan Murphy as someone contracted with the "ancient blood virus" which in turn, makes her thirst for human blood.

With regards to O'Hare's part in the story, the award-winning actor told the publication of the gruelling preparations he has to undergo for his scenes. According to him, playing Liz Taylor requires him to wear "a lot of make-up" like "Cleopatra eyes," getting his head made up, as well as having to put a mole on his face. On top of that, he has to suit up to a number of "amazing, amazing costumes" with some even coming from co-star Jessica Lange's wardrobe selection in "Coven."

Finally, O'Hare told TVLine that basically, "Hotel's" theme is different from the previous seasons. However, with the degree of its horror and scare factor, it seems for him that the latest installment echoes back to Season 1 "in many ways."

"….and I think it's because we're back in LA. You can't help it!" he said (via TVLine).

"American Horror Story: Hotel" premieres Wednesday, Oct. 7 on FX.
