American Horror Story' Season 6 Cast & Spoilers Update: Evan Peters Confirmed to Return, Plot to Center on Children?

Anthology horror TV series "American Horror Story" will be returning soon for its sixth season. There's no specific date yet on when the show will start airing new hair-rising episodes to the small screen, leaving fans wondering on who among the cast will return or will not return anymore in the series. But according to a report by Fashion and Style, one star is set to return for the sixth time in a row. Evan Peters will be playing another role for season 6.

However, as Peters stated in an interview with BBC Newsbeat, he is still uncertain about the role that he will be playing. He has not been told what character he will play this time and when pressed further to reveal more, Peters answered that he cannot share much of what he knows so fans will have to stay tuned for updates.

But rumor has it that Peters may already be preparing for his role based on a selfie he posted on his social media account. As detailed in Australia Network, the 29-year-old actor shared to his followers a bearded selfie on his Instagram. Speculations started pouring in, saying that perhaps his beard is part of his character in "American Horror Story" Season 6. However, other reports suggest that he may just be growing it out while he is on hiatus with work.

As to the theme for the upcoming season, details about it are still carefully kept under wraps. There are several speculations though on what season 6 might be about and the most popular one so far in the rumor mill is the theme centering on children. Yibada suggested that the next story may take place in a boarding school or in an orphanage.

Show creator Ryan Murphy also previously hinted that they are currently working on two plots. "The interesting thing about this season is we've been working on two ideas at once, which we've never done. So I don't want to say what it maybe is," stated Murphy as noted in Breathecast.

"American Horror Story" Season 6 is expected to air sometime in October on FX.
