In the continuing debate over abortion rights, a national pro-life group announced the launch of a new campaign that will target abortion proponents amongst legislators.
American Life League, the largest pro-life education organization in the nation, will hold a press conference on Monday, May 23, titled You Cant be Catholic and Pro-Abortion. Pro-life advocates will speak out against Catholic legislators who support abortion.
At the press conference, American Life League plans to reveal a new ad featuring a prominent pro-abortion Catholic Senator. The ad will be run as a full-page in nationally recognized publications.
Joe Starrs, Director of American Life Leagues Crusade for the Defense of Our Catholic Church, stated, This campaign will continue as long as the problem of pro-abortion Catholic politicians exists.
The bottom line is, a public figure who claims to be Catholic cannot support the direct killing of preborn babies through abortion, said Starrs.
American Life League will also launch its Summer Crusade for Life walks on Monday. The press conference will be held at 11am in the Krieble Center on Capitol Hill.
