Gospel Music Hall of Famer Amy Grant is in New York to promote her newest Christmas release in nine years and started her Tuesday with a performance on the “CBS Early Show.”

To promote The Christmas Collection, Grant was also scheduled to perform for and be interviewed by “Fox & Friends” before stopping over for "Fox News Radio," "ABC Radio's Entertainment News," and "Oprah & Friends Radio with Dr. Robin."

“I continue to be grateful for the opportunity to bring some Christmas spirit to people across the country,” Grant wrote in her blog Monday.

“This road life is not for everyone, but it suits me just fine,” she added.

Grant is currently on the “Christmas With Amy & Vince Tour,” which kicked off last Thursday and will conclude in Nashville on Dec. 23.

The 15-city tour, which will cover cities in the south, northeast and central U.S., has been a “thrilling experience” for Grant and her husband, Vince Gill, who together performed "Baby It's Christmas" on the “CBS Early Show” Tuesday morning.

"Christmas audiences are special," says Grant. "They tend to involve the whole family, and their emotions are a wonderful mix of anticipation and reverence.”

Grant is currently the featured artist on Hearitfirst.com as part of her “takeover” of the website. For a limited time, the site will prominently point its visitors to exclusive Grant interviews, previews of music, a contest and more.
