Amy Winehouse Dead: Comedians Pose as Mourners to Mock Funeral

Brazilian comedians have made a mockery of mourners at Amy Winehouse’s funeral Tuesday, as they cried crocodile tears to infiltrate the private event in London reserved exclusively for family and close friends of the famous singer.

Two Brazilian comics, Daniel Zukerman and Andre Machado, who work on a Brazilian comedy TV show called Panico na TV (Panic on the TV), were seen posing as friends of Winehouse, and even fooled media representatives into interviewing them about their relationship with the recently deceased star.

The tasteless stunt included the two comics giving comments to German broadcaster RTL, and they could be seen smirking on the verge of laughter as they told the interviewer: “Amy changed the world. We lost a friend, the greatest singer. It is difficult to explain how we feel.”

The Reuters news agency was forced to apologize to readers for identifying the two fakes as friends of Winehouse in one of their reports.

Zukerman has previously infiltrated other celebrity events; he also gate-crashed Michael Jackson’s funeral in 2009, and managed to sneak into the Oscars in 2010.

Brazilians have expressed their outrage at the comics’ tasteless invasion into the private funeral event. A Facebook campaign has now begun calling on people to boycott the Panico na TV program that is scheduled to be aired on Sunday.

The campaign has been organized by Winehouse fans who have expressed disgust at the lack of respect by the pair of comics. They hope to hit Zukerman and Machado by knocking their TV ratings.

World famous singer Amy Winehouse was found dead in her house in London by a bodyguard on Saturday afternoon, aged 27. The funeral was held Tuesday lunchtime at London’s Edgwarebury Cemetery.
