Just like its smaller predecessor, the 10.1-inch Samsung Galaxy Note can function as a phone.

A video recently surfaced that shows the device's ability to make a phone call.

The video also showcases many of the Galaxy Note 10.1's other features, including its ability to function as a notepad. The person in the video draws on the device with an S Pen.

The 10.1-inch version of the smartphone-tablet hybrid also comes with the popular stylus known as the S-Pen that has now been optimized to work with the device's capacitive touchscreen.

This model differs from the 5-inch version as it features Google's latest operating software Android 4.0.3, Ice Cream Sandwich. The original Note launched with Android 2.3.5, Gingerbread.

Other specifications on the 10.1-inch Galaxy Note include 32GB of internal storage and a quad-core 1.4GHz Exynos processor.

A successor to the Galaxy Note could be launching as early as next year, according to a recent report from YouMobile.org.

A Samsung Galaxy Note 2 concept was recently posted by the site who feels that releasing a new version of the Note only makes sense since the company had so much success with the first version that sold over 7 million units worldwide.

The concept picture for the device looks almost identical to the Samsung Galaxy S3. This also matches up to the original Galaxy Note since it closely resembled the S2 when it was launched.
