Android 4.1, JellyBean Update Requirements Released by HTC

HTC has confirmed that its devices with less than 512MB RAM will be incompatible with Android 4.1, JellyBean.

This means that the HTC One V and Desire C will not be able to upgrade.

The HTC One X is still just receiving the Android 4.1, JellyBean update in certain parts of the globe.

The device's web browser is now a lot faster than it was, as the new software allows the it to fully utilize its quad-core processor .

Various Benchmark results have been posted on to the internet showing the HTC One X ranking higher than it previously did thanks to the update.

The JellyBean update for the One X began rolling out in Taiwan last month.

HTC's headquarters is located in Taiwan and this is the reasoning behind it being one of the first countries to receive the upgrade.

Meanwhile, the HTC One S JellyBean updates will be available at a later date.

The One S special white edition appeared on the company's Taiwanese website last month.

This variant comes with a white body similar to the one found on the HTC One X and features 64GB of built-in memory.

The rest of the specifications are all the same as the original HTC One S.

In other HTC news, the company is expected to unveil this new device at an unboxing event on Nov. 19 at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

The smartphone will be introduced to the public on a Google+ Hangout and in order to be invited, users must add Verizon Wireless to their circle on Google+.

"Experience the newest DROID before its public launch," wrote Verizon on its webpage. "Add Verizon Wireless to a circle on Google+ for an exclusive invite to our Hangout on Air Unboxing Event."

The HTC Droid DNA will feature a Monster 5-inch SLCD3 display with Full HD 1080p resolution. This will make the pixel density at least at 440ppi. Theoretically, it will be the best looking smartphone screen in the market.
