Android 4.3, JellyBean Update Coming to Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition in July
The Android 4.3, JellyBean update could be coming to the Google Edition of the Galaxy S4 next month.
A new rumor points to the company updating its software to the next-gen build of JellyBean, according to SamMobile. The site claims to have insiders in Samsung who are currently testing build version JWR66N on the Galaxy S4 Google Play edition.
A similar build number recently showed up in a Myce report. The number was JWR66D and it appeared alongside another number JWR53F. Both of them were reported to be different versions of Android 4.3 and they were spotted in server logs running on the Nexus 7 and the Nexus 4.

Myce explained why there were two different numbers.
"In this case both build numbers (JWR66D and JWR53F) mean that they are JellyBean builds from the second quarter of this year and the final number is x-th day in the quarter, in this case 66 and 53," wrote the site. "The final character remarks the build of the day, the D is the fourth build, the F is the sixth build of that day. What the W means is so far unclear. This means both versions are from the end of May, beginning of June."
This explanation points to JWR66N being a newer build of Android 4.3. However, it is all speculation currently.
The Galaxy S4 and HTC One Google Editions became available in the Google Play store earlier this week. The Samsung device retails for $649 and the One sells for $599 and comes with slightly less memory. Both devices feature the same specifications as the original versions and eliminate the stock software that come with Samsung TouchWiz and HTC Sense UI.
