The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8. 4 LTE will get the Lollipop update after the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, which got the patch a couple of weeks ago. The official announcement from the South Korean tech giant indicated that it has now given Verizon the go-signal to roll out the update.

Users can also go to their phone's Settings section, then to the About page and check on the Software update section to see if the firmware is ready for download and installation.

The file size is expected to be about 1GB since this is a major update for the phablet. Users are advised to connect to a fast internet connection, or else expect a slow downloading process.

The Android 5.0.2 update brings the new features and improvements of the Lollipop OS including the signature Material Design-inspired user interface, an upgraded notifications system and a myriad of bug fixes.
