Android 4.4.4 KitKat Galaxy S5 Release Date Still Not Arrived, Galaxy S3 Latest Recipient of Update

The latest Android update, the KitKat 4.4.4, is one of the most awaited updates for most Android phones. Unfortunately, not all Android compatible smartphones will be getting the update. The Samsung Galaxy line is set to get the update but not all models have gotten it yet, including the S5.

Although the S5 still hasn't received the update, other variants of the S5 smartphone like the Active and the Sprint have already gotten the KitKat update.

Some smartphone series of the Galaxy line have already gotten the update like the Galaxy S3. The version being used by the S3, however, is an obscure version of the 4.4.4 KitKat.

The KitKat updates first rolled out on Android devices June earlier this year and were the 4.4.3 KitKat and the 4.4.4 KitKat. Both were originally intended to fix the bugs presented by the 4.4.2 KitKat update.

Various Android smartphone manufacturers have made it a priority to deliver the fixes to those who sorely needed it but it seems that Samsung is lagging behind the updates.

Even with Samsung's pace at delivering the updates, it will eventually reach all Android users but considering the length of time it has already been since the first roll-out, users are already getting impatient.

Supposedly, the 4.4.4 KitKat will be the last update for Android phones before the newer Android L comes out on the market. Some high-end phones will also be making the upgrade to the new OS, including the newer Galaxy lines.
