Android 5.0 L Update Release Date on Moto X (2014) This Week; Nexus Line to Follow After Brief Delay
Google recently experienced some problems with its Nexus 5 release of the Android Lollipop software, with users experiencing needlessly excessive "miscellaneous" battery drain. This has placed the update for Google's own Nexus line on a slight delay. In the meantime, other manufacturers such as Motorola and LG has already announced rollouts for their own devices.
The first Motorola models to be getting the update will be the 2014 Moto X, with tests already being carried out by Motorola. The update for the Moto X will be rolling out this week in Poland which will be followed shortly by other countries. Users in the U.S. may have to wait though before their own wireless carriers make any announcements.
LG on the other hand isn't too far behind with its own rollouts of the software to its devices, with the G3 getting the Lollipop first. The company has promised to roll out the updates as soon as possible saying that, "bringing Android Lollipop to G3 owners as soon as possible is a top priority."

The Nexus line on the other hand is still experiencing delays of the Lollipop updates. According to reports, the Nexus line will be getting the updates on Nov. 12 this week. The updates will be rolling out on the following Nexus devices: Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7, and the Nexus 10.
Sony will follow soon after, as well as HTC and Samsung. However, there are currently no announcements yet from the mentioned manufacturers, hinting at a probable 2015 release of the update to its respective devices.
